Born to a farm family in Eastern Washington in 1980, my first introduction into motorcycles was at the young age of 5 years old, my first bike being a Yamaha PW80 Y-Zinger.
Motorcycles are a large part of the family farm in Washington, due to their versatility, and light impact on crops.
Over the years, as I grew and changed from bike to bike, I began to dabble in the inner workings of both the 2-stroke bikes, as well as the 4-stroke bikes, eventually becoming our farm’s motorcycle mechanic.
Several years later, here I am still as passionate about motorcycles, as I was as a young child.
I have, and will ride any motorcycle, and have felt the joys each type can bring to you whether it be a Cruiser, Dual Sport, or Sport Bike.
As I begin to push into my 30’s, I have come to realize what made me most happy as a child, was the adventurous attitude and spirit I had, and the thousands of miles I put under me, as I explored the deserts surrounding our farm in Eastern Washington.
Now, as I begin another chapter in my life, I pick up the pieces of a childhood, dust them off, and once again begin to explore the world around me.
From Road Racing to Adventure Riding, and everything in between, I write the coming pages of my life, and the world I see through my eyes.
About the Site:
Mic’s Adventure originally started out as “Life’s a Breeze”. A simple blog I had originally put together mainly to just track the progress of my XT225 Rebuild Project “My Old Friend: The Rebirth of an XT”.
While working on the XT, I started to dabble more and more with the blog software, and decided to also use the site to plan my upcoming Arctic Expedition.
Well, one thing lead to another, and before long, I started writing about my rides, reviews, research on supplies I was looking at, and well, it just got a bit bigger than I originally had planned.
Also, one of my main pages that I used for myself mainly, the XT225 Resource Page, started to pick up momentum. Daily I started getting more and more hits to that page, and using the tracking software within wordpress, I realized that it was become a popular page.
So in Mid January of 2010, I decided it was time to take this blog to the next level and take it off of my old domain of Phrozen-Phaze.Com and give it its very own domain, and Mic’s Adventure was born.
So what will you find at Mic’s Adventure?
Well, pretty much a little of everything. It is about my life, my adventure and the answers that I pursue week by week.
It’s about Research and Reviews, about Projects and Rides. It’s about exploring the Pacific Northwest and Beyond.
But most importantly, it’s about bringing the Adventure to you.
